Hi Key Clubbers! DCON is coming shortly, so make sure to join us at the 70th annual District Convention on April 1-3 at Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, NJ! This year’s theme is 070 License to Serve! Learn how to better your leadership qualities and enjoy meeting Key Clubbers from all over New Jersey. There will be a cost of $270 and forms will be available in Mr. Trinker’s room (101) or online under the downloads tab. Thanks and hope to see you there!!
To help benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Key Club will be collecting money to support patients with blood cancer. Like the annual UNICEF boxes, the L&L boxes will raise money that will be donated to help support research to create better treatments and therapies to save lives. If interested in helping contribute to this, please make sure to stop by in Mr. Trinkner’s room (101) and grab a box! Thanks!
Help support the Operation Smile Plato’s Closet Initiative by donating gently used or new clothes! Operation Smile is an organization that helps pay for dental surgeries for children in third world countries. These include but are not limited to the cleft lip and cleft palate. From January 20 to February 2, we will be collecting clothing so that they can be sold. The money we earn will be donated to the Operation Smile organization. Donations should be brought to Mr. Trinkner’s room in a trash bag with your name labeled on it.
Don’t forget to thank your teachers! Teacher Appreciation Week is on May 4-8. For every letter you write to a teacher, you will receive 5 service points. See Trinker in room 101 to pick a teacher. Also, donations will be accepted (cookies, baked goods, coffee, breakfast, etc.) on the morning of May 6 and/or May 8. Signup to come BEFORE school (be at school no later than 6:30am) to handout breakfast for teachers on Tuesday and Thursday (May 5, 7). See you then!
